Check it out for yourself....

They ask "when was the last time, you saw something for the first time?"

I say , few weeks back.!! :-)

Well, it was the first time I saw Snow in my life, (unfortunately I was not around in Beijing when it first snowed) but I couldn't miss it the last time, even if it was me taking this video at 4 in the morning.

If the movie is trembling, it's understandable I just put a tshirt , took my camera and ran!! :D

It might not not be one of the greatest videos you have seen, but I would be more than happy to capture my first encounter with anything. ;-) I think it's one of the best videos I've taken.

Also, there are some pictures I took in the last few weeks in Beijing. I am not a good writer I will let the pictures and video do the talking about my experience( that doesn't mean you will get away with my crap!! ;-) )

Abs( I am more of a Brazilian in China now:p)

We are leaving on a JET PLANE!!!

Once again, we fail to deliver, once again the fans are disappointed, once again the blame game begins.

Once again, it has been proved, being talented does not matter, what matters is how hungry you are to succeed, can you give more than 100% on that day???

WE LACKED HUNGER!!!!

Lighter side of Life....

Few things that crack me up in Beijing.....

1) Quality time between a couple in a supermarket is spent, staring at live fishes, discussing which fish they should eat for dinner.

2) The locks for a bike cost more than a bike.

3) As soon as you tell a chinese girl in a rock club that you are "Indian" they start doing BharatNatyam.

4) "DIDI" in chinese means younger brother.( For non Indians, "DIDI" in hindi means Sister, mostly Elder Sister.)

5) Chinese men can beat anyone in skolling beer hands down. They do it everday for lunch and dinner with local 50% proof alcohol. If it's a birthday then only GoD help you!!!(In the country side it happens for all three meals!!! ;-)

6) We just celebrated Spring Festival(Chinese New Year!!) and a week after that we had snow, and the coldest day this Winter.

....9 months in this interesting city , I definately have learned something about culture and differences, haven't I?? ;-)

Over and Out...

"The person you are trying to call is REACHABLE now!!

I have to be more disciplined with this thing here....

So I have made a "Chinese" New Year Resolutions recently which I would like to share. This was the first time I am celebrating Chinese New year, so it's like your first resolution that you ever made and you always thought you will keep.

*** I will update my blog every Sunday.(There are enough things happening, and enough interesting stories and pictures to share.)

On a different note, after six months of experimenting and living without a cellphone. I finally decided to get myself a "mobile" number. ;-)

So any one of you planning to contact me(now at any point in time) I am available on (0086) (10) 15910952843.

Key learnings.

--It is not a necessity it's just another thing which makes life comfortable.( But then marketing and peer pessure have made sure, we can't live without it. :-) )

--You cannot be disturbed, when you dont want to be.

--You want to be disturbed, and no one calls you. :-(

--You feel "disconnected", which does a lot of good.

--A lot of time you are lost and start talking to people who don't speak your language. If the feeling of being lost in itself is not good enough, you make new friends, learn some new words in a different language .

--Girls think its a another way to pick them up....;-)

-- You want to get in touch with people, to cancel plans, and you cant. Things get screwed up.

All in all, worth trying. I am always up for something new, different and challenging.:-)

Till then, I am back, connected to the world....

Cheers
Jitu...
